Tom Skelcher
Tom spent most of his initial career at Digital, working in the UK, USA, and Italy. He was recognised as a leader in on-line information design, little knowing how mainstream this would be 20 years later. At Digital he learned that an
organization can have - and can lose - a unique vision and culture. He also learned that co-operative working, knowledge sharing, and inclusion can be endemic in an
organization.
In 1999 he formed Black Dog with Rob. Since then he's been on a customer site virtually very day.
He wants to work with enthusiastic committed people with new ideas. He likes to develop strategies, but he wants to implement them too.
Hell for Tom would be an eternity of administration, working for a functionary, using flaky tools, to produce fictional output that disappeared into the ether. He knows because he's done that once already.
