Too often "programme management" is used to mean managing sets of
disparate projects. A true Programme is complex and multithreaded and requires
not just skill and expertise but a real deep understanding of how the programme
moves the organization forward: what Deming characterised as "profound
knowledge".
A technical success with disaffected users is not a success. The needs
and well-being of the stakeholders must be embedded in the programme and
each project from the very start.
We also firmly believe that success comes from doing simple things very
well too - and challenging assumptions is something we are very good at
indeed.
