Rob Welch
Rob trained as a technical author specialising in communications and transaction
processing - so he goes back a long way. Rob was an early adopter of the exploitation of internet and intranet technologies - which
was pioneering stuff at the time - and devised and wrote one of the very
first Knowledge Management strategies: later developed into a complete schema for the running of fast-changing
organizations.
For 5 years Rob was a board director with special responsibility for emerging technologies and for consulting with blue-chip clients at a strategic level.
Since founding Black Dog with Tom he has concentrated on consulting, project
management, and delivery - and developing his ideas on how organizations add
real value. Rob is fully signed up the basic concept that companies grow by
making better profits rather than cutting costs.
